  Worship Service

Weekly worship happens at Morisset Uniting Church every Sunday at 9:30 am. All welcome!!

Holy Communion is celebrated on the 1st Sunday of the month.

We are now celebrating 50 days of Easter through a variety of subjects, values and stories On Sunday's this year we will continue to include contemporary activity, story and participation for people of all ages while at the same time exploring new possibilities for an all age/family oriented gathering at a yet to be determined time and day. Stay tuned!! All are welcome!!

“Drought”

“Drought” has extended into a third year in parts of eastern Australia and yet September is a time for reflection on the ‘season of creation.’ We spent a Sunday (and will add more time) reflecting on the impact on people, praying for rain and sharing story from those who’ve lived the situation!! This included the brilliant Jackie French storybook “Drought”

“The Once and Future Church”

The once in 500 years context we live in presents significant challenges for the church as we’ve been shifted to the margins and are called to go out into the world as our ‘mission field’ to discover where God is action that we are invited to join!! We’re spending a few weeks reflecting on the change and challenges, exploring opportunities and preparing for review of our mission and the future!!

“Plan Be”

Scattered thoughts

‘Scattered Thoughts’ are just that! This is a blog from Minister of the Word, Rev. Rob Hanks. It’s a space for thought starters, themes, ideas, reflections, highlights, resources, music and pictures. Readers can follow our work for the ‘common good’, pick up worship themes, read important articles or find invitations to get involved in making the world a better place.

The church is a community of followers of Jesus in one place, exploring how they are invited to participate in God’s mission. Attributed to many different writers is the catchphrase “It is not the church of God that has a mission in the world but the God of mission who has a church in the world.”
